Peony

Peony is a perennial plant that grows wild but is also largely cultivated for decorative purposes. It has palmate leaves with lanceolate leaflets and the large flowers grow solitary, they are red and look like roses in bloom.

Properties and Use

The rootstock from this plant is used for kidney and bladder problems as it promotes the flow of urine. It is also used for cramps and it has a sedative effect.
