Seafood poisoning
Viral or bacterial infections caused by eating shellfish that has been poorly stored or cooked, or has been in water contaminated by human faeces. Symptoms include diarrhoea, vomiting and abdominal pain. They can be relieved with plenty of salts and fluids, but extreme cases may require hospital treatment.
