Kaposi’s varicelliform eruption

A generalised, severe skin eruption, consisting of pus-filled blisters, created by a viral infection in areas of pre-existing atopic dermatitis. The disorder is also known as eczema herpeticum. The viruses often responsible are herpes simplex virus (HSV1 and HSV2) an coxsackievirus.
