Jacksonian seizures

A short-term brain disturbance in which seizures begin in a certain area of the body, such as the face, or a limb, and then spread to various other areas or occasionally the whole body (a progression called the march of the seizure). The person generally retains consciousness but can have amnesia (memory loss).
