Glands, swollen
Enlargement of the lymph nodes, which are more commonly known as glands, caused by inflammation and/or proliferation of white blood cells within them. Swollen lymph nodes are a frequently seen symptom, particularly in children. They are often caused by an allergic reaction or minor infection.
Unusual causes include cancer affecting the lymph nodes or cancer of the white blood cells.
