Fascioliasis

A disease affecting the bile ducts and liver, that is created by infection with the liver fluke species FASCIOLA HEPATICA. Fascioliasis is acquired by eating plant food (such as watercress) contaminated with the larvae of the fluke. Treatment is with anthelmintic drugs.
