Werdnig-Hoffman disease
An incurable, uncommon, inherited disease, which affects infants. It is a motor neuron disease and is marked by floppiness and paralysis in the first few months. Affected infants rarely survive beyond the age of three. Treatment aims at keeping the infant as comfortable as possible.
